Alice Eugenia Powe Browning


Mrs. Alice Eugenia Powe Browning, 74, of Adel, Georgia, passed away February 11, 2019, at the Cook Senior Living Center. Mrs. Browning was born January 28, 1945 in Grady County to the late Albert Edward Powe and Marjorie May Lowe Powe. She lived most of her life in Cook County where she was a member of the New Life Baptist Church and was a retired school bus driver with the Cook County Board of Education.
Mrs. Browning is survived by her four sons and three daughters-in-law: Lee and Donna Browning, Scotty and Becky Browning, Matt Browning, Jerry and Susan Browning all of Adel; one daughter and son-in-law: Gennie and Cato Catia of Clearwater, Florida; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Ken and Eunice Powe of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, Dan Powe of Ocala, Florida, Jimmy and Marie Powe of Birmingham, Alabama; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Susan and Greg Walksi of Orange Park, Florida, Becky and Donnie Glennon of Spring Hill, Illinois; and a very special friend, Shirley Brady of Adel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Lee Browning and her great grandson, Jackson Boatner.
Funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 14, 2019, at the New Life Baptist Church with Rev. Harris Whitman and Rev. William Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Boone Funeral Home (South), 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave., in Adel.
