Betty Hadsock - 86 of Lakeland passed away Friday, September 14, 2017 in the Lakeland Villa after a brief illness. She was born December 15, 1930 in Valdosta GA to the late Frank and Sally (Futch) Chitty. Ms. Hadsock was a lifetime and active member of Lakeland United Methodist Church. She was very involved not only with her church but in the community. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Unity Methodist Womens, Quilting Club and anything to help support the community of Lanier County. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by husband, Chester Hadsock, brothers, Ralph Chitty & Randall Chitty, grandson, Anthony Hadsock.
Survivors include: Daughter & Son-in-Law: Mary & Roger Touchton of Naylor, GA; Son & Daughter-in-Law: Gary & Marilyn Hadsock of Naylor, GA; 4 Grandchildren: Quinn Hadsock (Amanda), Tammie Brantley(Kevin), Deaven Thomas(Stewart) and Dustin Hadsock; 10 Great Grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and extended family members
Funeral services will be held at 4:00P.M. Sunday, September 17, 2017 in the Lakeland United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Ms. Hadsock will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00P.M. at the funeral home.
