Bobby Hooker 80
Of Valdosta, GA passed away on February 22, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 24, 1937 in Macon, GA to the late Raymond and Eunice (Raines) Hooker. He was a captain in the 230th Artillery with Georgia National Guard for 18 years. He also worked as a senior claims agent with Norfolk Southern for 40 years. Mr. Hooker was a volunteer with the Kairos Prison Ministry. He attended Bemiss United Methodist Church and Philadelphia Baptist Church. Bobby was an avid storyteller and quite a jokester. He loved Jesus and his family. His life was an adventure and his spirit will continue to flow through the Great Smokey Mountains. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond Hooker and George Hooker.
Survivors include: Wife, Loudelle S. Hooker, Valdosta, GA; Daughter: Allison E. Hooker, Asheville, NC; Daughter & Son-in-law: Lisa M. & Larry Seib, Evansville, IN; Son: Michael E. Hooker, Valdosta, GA; Daughter & Son-in-law: Nancy R. & Steven Martin, Orange Park, FL; Daughter: Valerie L. Hooker(David Clark), Chapel Hill, NC; Step Daughter & Son-in-law: Lesa L. & Dewey Register, Clyattville, GA; Step Son & Daughter-in-law: Gregory L. & Cheryl Tucker, Valdosta, GA; 7 Grandchildren; 18 Great-Grandchildren; 4 Great Great Grandchildren, and his much loved family pet, Lady.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Kairos Prison Ministry, P.O.
