Curtis Lee Bolling, 85,
Of Lakeland passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 in South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Lakeland, GA on August 27, 1932 to the late Colonel Samuel and Reba Bell Phillips Bolling. Mr. Bolling Served our country in the United States Army before opening up and operating his grocery store in Lakeland located on Oak Street. He was the mayor of Lakeland from 1976 until 1979. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Bolling, a Son Curtis Lee Bolling, Jr., a Great Granddaughter, Tailor Chaney and a sister, Reba Mae Odum, Son-in-law, Danny Earl Gaskins.
Survivors include: Daughter & Son-in-Law, Judy & Jerry Mullis of Lakeland, GA, Daughters, Delores Dianne Bolling of Lakeland, GA, Betty Lou & David Chaney of Naylor, GA, Shanna Gaskins of Lakeland, GA, Jamie Lee Bolling of Lakeland, GA, Samantha Bolling of Lakeland, GA, Grandchildren: Angie Adair, Amy & Timmy Allen, Wayne Gaskins, Jennifer & John Young, Clint & Jessica Mullis, David Chaney, Jr., Leigh Ann & Lee Gray, Denny Ray Chaney, Great Grandchildren: Garret, Hayden, Aubrey, Carter, Mattie, Erin, Emily, Pacey, Jordan, Dylan, Colby, Tate, Jonathan;, Brother and Sister-in-Law, Carl & Mable Bolling of Lakeland, GA, Several nieces, nephews and extended family members
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 22, 2018 at 11: 00A.M in Southside Baptist Church with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Lakeland, GA. Mr. Bolling will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time. The family will receive friends, Sunday, January 21, 2018 from 5:00 until 7:00P.M. at the funeral home.
