David Stewart DeMersseman David Stewart DeMersseman, 39, of Valdosta, GA passed away on October 21, 2018.
Stewarts tennis buddies remember him for his powerful overhead smash, his teachers for his love of books and history, his church for his faith and for being a student of the scriptures. Family, friends, and strangers alike remember him for his dedication to helping other people, especially those whom the rest of the world had given up on.
Stewart was preceded in death by his father David George DeMersseman, paternal grandparents Gene and Marie DeMersseman, and grandmother Katherine Stewart. He is survived by mother Suzanne Stewart Cox, siblings Suzanna (and husband Tommy) Bonafede and Daniel James DeMersseman, paternal grandfather Dickie Stewart, Sr., and aunts and uncles Kay and Glenn Dooley (and sons James and Wesley), Dickie Stewart, Jr. and Sarah Stewart, William and Carol DeMersseman, Daniel Walter and Samantha DeMersseman, Paul and Sue DeMersseman, Lois and Bob Griffin, and Lloyd DeMersseman.
A ceremony will be held for friends and family at New Covenant Church in Valdosta, GA at 3 p.m. Saturday. Visitation after service.

My heart ❤️ is absolutely breaking right now. But, I’m glad that God brought u into my life, 10 yrs ago..did not hurt living across the street lol. You would give the shirt off yiour back. You always kept a smile on my face.,and the best since of humor. My love and memories of and for you will go on forever. I can't say enough good things about this remarkable man. He was so polite, kind, and had such a great smile. Stewart will be missed. Thank you, Lord, for sharing him with us. We will never be the same.

I remember Stewart as a soft spoken, gentle man. He had a sweet smile and loved the Lord. His death is a great loss to family and friends. Bye for now Stewart. See you in Heaven.
