David "Gramps" Lightsey, Jr.
Of Naylor passed away late Thursday evening at his residence. He was born November 22, 1945 in Valdosta, GA to the late David & Thelma Callahan Lightsey, Sr. David served in the United States Air Force prior to working for the Valdosta Police Department for 27 years before his retirement. Along with his parents, Mr. Lightsey is preceded in death by his wives, Frances Lightsey and Jerranell Lehman Lightsey, three sisters; Virginia Stephens, Kathryn Simpson, and Gail Hacker and a grandson, Clint Smith
Survivors include; Daughters & Son-in-Law; Callie & Glenn Moore of Valdosta, GA., Allison Lightsey of Jennings, FL., Jeannie Lightsey of Atlanta, GA., 3 Sons James Smith of Valdosta, GA., Jody & Faith Lightsey of Cedartown, GA., Jesse Smith of Valdosta, GA., 4 Grandchildren; Caleb Moore, Gabe Moore, Sarah Smith, Zackery Lightsey Special Friend Holly Weed, of Boston, MA., Sister & Brother-in-Law; Earnestine & Fred Spector of Maine, Nephew; Grady (Joyce) Mixon
Funeral services will be held Monday November 20, 2017 at 11:00A.M. in the Lakeland chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Burnt Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday (November 19, 2017) from 4:00 until 6:00P.M. at the funeral home. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com.
