Dorothy J. Crow went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, October 28, 2017.
Dorothy was born on September 6, 1933, in Valdosta, GA. She graduated from the Pine Grove High School and was employed by Southwell Buick for six years. Prior to marriage to her husband Bob, she was employed by Georgia Power Company of Valdosta, GA. Following marriage and several years as a full-time loving wife and mother, Dot was employed at North Florida Christian School for 22 years.
Dorothy was an active member of the Ladies Sunday School Class and the North Florida Baptist Church since 1969. Previously, she was an active member of the Bemiss United Methodist Church, Valdosta, GA. She was also an active member of the Tallahassee Camellia Club and assisted her husband with the maintenance of their large camellia garden at their home.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Burie Hutchinson and Estyne (Turner) Hutchinson, and son Robert W. Crow, Jr. She is survived by Bob Crow, her loving husband of 58 years, children Barbara Linton (Jay), Janice Elyea (Steve), David Crow (Debbie), and Brenda Davis (Scott). Survivors include seven grandchildren, John Paul Linton (Sara), Danny Linton (Ashley), Amy Crow, Rachel Diaz (Devon), Joshua Crow, Rebecca Elyea, and Michael Crow. Also surviving is one sister, Helen Hutchinson of Valdosta, GA.
Visitation by family and friends will be at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, FL, Sunday, October 29, 2017, 4:00-6:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, October 30, at 11:00 a.m., at Culley's on Timberlane Road.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Missions Fund, North Florida Baptist Church, 3000 N. Meridian Road, Tallahassee, FL 32312.
