Erline Wilson Doe Erline Wilson Doe went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 20, 2018. She was a radiant Christian and loving example to her family, church, community, and friends. She was affectionately known as Momma Doe.
Erline was born on June 16, 1946 to Columbus Lum Wilson and Maggie Wilson in Sparks Georgia. She was educated in the Cook County School System. Erline met and married the love of her life, Bobby J. Doe Sr. in 1966. She was also a faithful member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church for over forty years.
Erline was preceded in death by her parents: Columbus L. Wilson and Maggie Wilson; three sisters: Bertha M. Covington, Mary Nell Burgess, and Ruby Dell Russell; two brothers: L.C. Wilson, and Willie James Wilson.
Erline is survived by her devoted husband: Bobby J. Doe Sr.; four daughters: Diann R. Durden, Rose Collins (Edward), Stephanie Doe (Dwight), Carma Laquila Doe (Mario) of Sparks, GA; two sons: Bobby J. Doe Jr. of Valdosta, GA., and Lewis C. Doe of Sparks, GA.; 21 loving grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two brothers: Samuel Wilson (Martha) of Sparks, GA., and Terry Wilson of Hahira, GA.; one sister-in-law: Mary Doe of Valdosta, GA.; on brother-in-law: Frank Doe (Janis) of Tampa, FL.; a very special, loyal, and devoted friend: The Incomparable Edith A. Ross, affectionately known as Rossie Mae; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Home Going Services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Aaron Hopkins is Pastor; however, Rev. Kenneth Boyd will officiate. Burial to follow in the Sparks Cemetery (Sparks, GA.). Family will receive friends Friday from 5:30-7 PM at Harrington. Final rites were entrusted to Harrington Funeral Home.
