Faye's Story

Faye Apple Lipford, 95 of Newnan, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Wesley-Woods of Newnan Peachtree City. She was born September 12, 1922 in Butts County, GA to the late Malcolm Apple & Mattie Lou Jinks Apple.
Faye was a graduate of Spalding High School. She married W. Wright Lipford in 1943 and worked with him in his law office for many years. Faye was a longtime, active member of Newnan First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Veatch Nixon Sunday School Class. She was active in the community, a member of the Kiwanis Club and a golden sustainer of the Newnan Junior Service League. She was proud to be "Grunkie" to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends. The family is grateful to her caregivers, Dorothy Dorsey, Mary Blandenburg, Mary Luke, and the staff of Wesley Woods.
The funeral service is Friday, September 29, 2017 at 11 o'clock at the graveside in Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Gary Parrish & Rev. Charles Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening between 6-8 at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St, Newnan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Newnan First United Methodist Church, 33 Greenville Street, Newnan, GA 30263.

Survivors include daughters, Linda (Billy) Arnall, Nisey (Ben) Wetherington; grandchildren, Weston (Caroline) Arnall, Walter (Kim) Arnall, Rae Barker, Trent Wetherington; great-grandchildren, Frances Arnall, Mary Bryan Arnall, Wright Arnall, Lilly Arnall, Folton Barker, Ben Griffith; sisters, Sue Pullin, Betty Mayo; numerous nieces and nephews.
