Flora's Story

Flora Resey Fountain 76 of Ray City passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 at her residence. She was born July 19, 1941 in Brooks County to the late Marcus and Flora Kirkland Powers. She was a retired paraprofessional who worked at the Ray City Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Jimmy Fountain, five brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include: Daughter and Son-in-Law, Margo and Mike Montgomery of Ray City, GA; Sons and Daughter-in-Law, Tommy and Faith Fountain of Carrollton, GA; Bill and Susan Schools of Ray City, GA; Grandchildren: Lori-Ann and Josh McFather, Mickey Montgomery and Cara Robinson, Brittany Fountain and Mitch Hughes; Kailey Fountain, Jamie Fountain; Great Grandchild: Haleigh McFather; Sister and Brothers-in-Law , Sara and Johnnie Brantley of Ray City, GA; Sister-in-law & Brother-in-law, Margaret and Mickey Richards of Carrollton, GA; Aunts and Uncles, Diane and Joe Sizemore, Elwood and Edith Mayo; And a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church in Ray City with burial following in New Ramah Cemetery with Rev. Robbie Peay officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, July 23, 2017 from 5:00 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Fountain family is being served by the caring and compassionate staff of Music Funeral Services of Lakeland.
