Frances's Story

Frances Carreker Dean 94 of Valdosta passed away Monday, December 11, 2017 at her residence after a brief illness. She was born in McDonough, GA on December 2, 1923 to the late John Milner Carreker and Leita Estella Duffey. She worked at General Electric in Atlanta for six years and United States Postal Service in Lake Park, Ga for 13 years. She was a charter member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church and the Christian Homebuilders Sunday School Class which she enjoyed very much. Mrs. Dean was a member of the South Georgia Medical Center Auxiliary Services. Frances was an avid gardener and enjoyed fishing with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry G. Dean, seven brothers and seven sisters.
Survivors Include: 2 Sons & Daughters-in-law: Larry & Beth Dean, Lake Park & David & Janet Dean, Lake Park; 5 Grandchildren: Shad Dean (Betty), Brooke Music (Casey), Keeley Phillips (Jeremy), Jaden Dean (Kami), and Chevin Dean (Sarah) and 9 Great Grandchildren
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in the Riverview Mausoleum Chapel where entombment will follow. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the services in the Mausoleum Chapel. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com.
