Harry "Jack" Cotterly

Mr. Harry Raymond "Jack" Cotterly, beloved husband of the late Nina Grace Cotterly, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Windemere Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Jack was born in Payne, Ohio in 1927 to Harry and Dorothy Ann Cotterly. He graduated from high school there and went on to flight school. He became a civilian flight instructor for the Air Force and moved south, first to Bainbridge, Georgia, then to Valdosta, Georgia, where he lived most of his life. One of his duties was to brief the Thunderbirds and the Golden Knights before they performed in air shows. He finished out his career as an air traffic controller. He was a member of the Episcopalian Church.
He is survived by his daughter; Charlotte Rowe (John), a son in law; Earl Copeland, his grandchildren; Missy Ford (Greg) and Angie Childree, as well as his great grandchildren; Evan, Angel and James. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nina and his daughter, Kim.
A service will be held at a later date in Valdosta.
