James Lamar's Story
James Lamar Raulerson, 63 , of Statenville died Friday, March 10, 2017 at Langdale Hospice House. He was born on May 6, 1953 in Valdosta to the late James Leon and Bashie Rewis Raulerson and was a lifelong resident of Echols County. Mr. Raulerson was a member of the Abundant Life Church of God and was employed for forty three years with the Potash Corporation (formerly Occidental). He was a graduate of Echols County High School and attended Valdosta State College. Mr. Raulerson served as an Echols County Commissioner for sixteen years.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Barrett Raulerson of Statenville, three daughters and two sons in law, Lindsey and Brad Martin, Lauren and P. J. Tuohey all of Hahira, Lakyn Raulerson of Statenville; his granddaughter who was the light of his life, Anna Kate Tuohey of Hahira; his brother, Billy Raulerson of Statenville; his parents in law, Walter and Joyce Barrett of Dasher, sisters in law and brothers in law, Bonnie and Deland Guthrie of Dasher, Jeff and Debbie Barrett of Clyattville, Mark and Kim Barrett of Lake Park, Todd and Amy Barrett, Clark and Brenda Barrett all of Valdosta; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Abundant Life Church of God with Rev. Wayne Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in the Wayfare Cemetery in Echols County. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5-7pm at the Abundant Life Church of God. Memorials may be made to the Pearlman Cancer Center, P. O.
