Jean Pierce Permenter 82
Of Valdosta, GA passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Lake Haven Nursing Home. She was born on April 10, 1935 in Lakeland, GA to the late R.M. Pierce and Maggie Bass Pierce. She was a supervisor for Levi Straus and retired in 1990. After retiring she worked in the Echols County Schools lunch room. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, cooking and gardening. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Roy Pierce and Brother-in-Law, Bob Murray.
Survivors include: Daughter and Son-in-law, Charlene and Dan Davis of Valdosta, GA; Son and Daughter-in-law, Freddy and Patsy Permenter of Statenville, GA; Step-son and Daughter-in-law, Gene and Paula Permenter of Auburndale, FL; She was adoringly called Granny Jean by her grandchildren, Rob Permenter, Kaitlyn Permenter, Clayton Davis and fiancé Kaitlyn Simpson, Danielle Davis and Brandy Permenter Jordan. Five Sisters, Virginia and Winston Ganas of Lakeland, GA; Brenda and Howard Ray of Lakeland, GA; Barbara Murray of Lakeland, GA; Sharon and Freddy Ramsey of Valdosta, GA; Sandra and Larry Luke of Lakeland, GA; Sister-in-Law, Liz Pierce of Blairsville, GA; Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 2, 2018 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Fender Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Messages of sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com.
