Kayla Jean Lewis, 21 of Valdosta passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2017. Kayla was born on August 31, 1995 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, the daughter of Dina Kay Lewis and the late Jim Bob Lewis. Kayla was attending Wiregrass Technical School and working for a local golf course. Kayla loved spending time with her daughter, shopping, and attending dance recitals. Kayla enjoyed crafts, fishing, and taking Ella to the beach.
Kayla is survived by her daughter, Ella R. Maples; her mother and step father, Dina Kay Lewis and Kane England; her twin brother, Dylan Lewis; her sister and brother in law, Lauren and Shane Hutson; her maternal grandparents, Paul and Ann Miller, Mike & Linda Hill; her paternal grandparents, Bob & Linda Lewis; her Aunts & Uncles, Bubba and Holly Weston, Deanna Hardinson, John and Paul Lewis, Brittany Hill, Misty Nickelson; her nieces and nephews, Tyler and Gus Hutson; her cousins, Alyssa, Blake, Jackson, Weston, Sierra and Clint Michael Hardinson, Michael and Tristin Bennett, Eric, Chris Griffin, Hunter Luke, Deven, and Dalton Lewis; her great aunts and uncles, Ken and Suzanne Dasher, Keith Hill, and Barbara Hill.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 3 p.m. at the Saint Augustine Church of Christ, with Mr. Deland Guthrie officiating. The family will receive visitors prior to the service from 2-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the benefit of Ella R.
