Margaret (Moddie) Williams, the fourth of five children born to Charlie and Bessie (Blake) Williams Sr., was born on October 25, 1934 in Valdosta, Georgia.
A Time To Plant:
Margaret confessed her faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at an early age. Upon returning home (1994) she reestablished her membership at Francis Lake AME Church in Lake Park, GA. She participated in various church missions and activities.
Margaret attended the public schools of Lowndes County Georgia, later graduating High School at Wood Chapel. After high school, she moved to Miami, FL. She resided in Miami from 1958 to 1994 (36 years). Margaret had several employers to include work in a Chair Factory, American Art (10 years) and Owens Illinois from 1972-1994 (22 years). She operated the Wax Machine, Stitching Machine (stables, tape and wax) and Box Preparation Assemble while working at Owens Illinois. She worked hard and became supervisor over four departments. In 1994, Margaret left her supervisor position when the company closed.
A Time To Love:
Margaret spent her life loving her family and friends. She played an intimate role in the life of her nephew, Ulysses Brown and his children. As the seasons came and went, she continued to love and care for those she left behind in Miami and those she returned to in Georgia. Her loved extended beyond Georgia and Florida; reaching cousins and friends in various cities and states.
Her love for watching television, especially sports (NBA-Golden State Warriors and NFL-Miami Dolphins), Professional Bull Riding and talking on the phone. The seed of laughter and love she sewed and the seed of laughter and love she reaped.
