Marvin Lee's Story
Marvin Lee Pollock, Jr., 67, of Valdosta went home to be with his Savior on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. He was born in Jasper, Florida on November 28, 1949 to Ida Mae Hill Pollock and the late Marvin Lee Pollock, Sr. and had lived in this area most of his life. Marvin was a hard working man, who cherished his personal relationship with Jesus and shared his testimony with many friends and strangers alike. Mr. Pollock was devoted to caring for his mother, he loved his wife dearly and was cherished by his wife, children and many friends. He was a seventeen year cancer survivor. Mr. Pollock loved being involved with his sons and grandchildrens sports activities.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Pollock; three sons and one daughter in law, Lee Pollock, Andy and Jessica Pollock, Richie Pollock all of Valdosta; seven grandchildren, Coleman Pollock, Kobe Pollock, Jacob Walker, Kadance Pollock, Julia Walker, Gracie Pollock, Dawson Pollock; his mother, Ida Pollock of Valdosta; one brother and sister in law, Henry and Amanda Pollock of Griffin; one sister and brother in law, Amy and Danny Gooden of Griffin; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin L. Pollock, Sr., a brother, Jackie Pollock, a sister, Patresa Pollock and a brother in law, Phillip Butler.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Saturday, September 23, 2017 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Luke officiating. Burial will follow in the Carter Cemetery in Echols County. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8pm at the Carson McLane Funeral Home, 2215 N. Patterson St., Valdosta, GA 31602.
