Melba McRae's Story

Melba McRae DeLoach, 100, of Valdosta, passed this life on Thursday, January 18, 2018. She was born near Morven, Georgia in Brooks County on December 6, 1917 to the late Albert and Cornelia Yates McRae. She lived most of her life in Valdosta and was the past owner/operator of Fads N Fashions and was a member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Jackie DeLoach of Valdosta; a daughter and son-in-law, Sondra and Pete Supp of Valdosta; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Verona Kay DeLoach of Lake Butler, Florida; a son and daughter-in-law, Ralph (R.S.) and Karen DeLoach of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and a daughter-in-law, Betty DeLoach of Valdosta; 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Smith DeLoach; her son, Richard DeLoach; a granddaughter, Stephanie Supp; a grandson, Darren DeLoach; her sister, Evelyn McRae DeLoach; two brothers, Ralph McRae and A.J. McRae
