Patsy M. Curry Skipper 76
Of Lakeland, GA passed away Friday December 29, 2017 in South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, GA following a brief illness. She was born January 19, 1941 in Nashville, GA to the late James Aubrey Curry and Marie Powell Curry. She attended school in Lanier County proud to say she went to Crisp School in the Mud Creek community before graduating from Lanier County High School in 1960. Before retiring and returning to the family farm in Lakeland she lived and worked in Valdosta as an assistant architect, and a realtor with The Herndon Company many years. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R.), United Daughters of the Confederacy, and the Unity United Methodist Church in Lakeland, GA. She was a devoted wife and mother, a friend to everyone she met with her big smile and a hug. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Linda Ann Skipper.
SURVIVORS: Husband of 59 and ½ years, Allie Skipper of Lakeland, GA; Daughter and Son-in-Law, Kay and Danny Hunter of Lake Park, GA; Son and Daughter-in-Law, Michael and Lynne Skipper of Lakeland, GA; Grandchildren: Ally Skipper Valdosta, GA; Clinton Skipper of Ocala, FL; Garrison Skipper of Hazlehurst, GA; Daniel Hunter U. S. Army Ft. Campbell, KY; Jordan Hunter U. S. Army Ft. Campbell, KY; Great Grandson, Rhyan Skipper of Ocala, FL; Brother, Jim Curry of Melborn, FL; A number of Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday January 2, 2018 in the Unity United Methodists Church in Lakeland with burial in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday January 1, 2018 between 5:00 and 7:00 P.M. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com.
