1940 - 2019

Thurman Ryan Thurman Ryan was born April 2, 1940 to the late Marion Ryan Sr. and the late Annie Lee Ryanin McClenny, Florida. He received his education from several schools in Florida and Georgia. He later moved to Lakeland, Georgia where he met the love of his life, Estelle "Ira Jean" Ryan. They were married for 53 years. He retired from Amoco Fabrics in Nashville, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son: Anthony Ryan.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and dear wife: Estelle Ryan; four sons: Herman (Jennifer) Ryan Sr., Christopher (Debbie) Ryan, Theotis (Nyesha) Pye, and Eric Curtis; one loving daughter: Sharon Edmond; ten grandchildren: Antone Ryan, Aaron McQueen, Monique Ryan, Angelica (Raz) Price, Vanessa Ryan, Aremeka Glaze, Anthony (Ashley) Edmond, Herman Ryan Jr., Kori McGriff, and Megan Cooper; seven great-grandchildren: Tyler, Josia, Binaca, Jabren, Genesis, Journee, and Jace; twenty-five siblings: Marion Ryan Jr., Lela Wooten, Homer (Harriet) Ryan, Lillie Ryan, Larry Ryan, Alvin Ryan, Eddie Ryan, Annie (Anthony) West, Dannie Ryan, Sherida (James) Lott, Slyvester Ryan, Amanda (Johnny) Walsh, Sidney (Carolyn) Ryan Sr., Pastor Leola (Milton) Monroe, Jimmy (Ella) Ryan, Clarence (Katie Pearl) Ryan, Robert (Vickie) Ryan, Ruby Henry, Clyde Ryan, Charles (Kathy) Ryan, Leon (Tammy) Ryan, Leroy (Kimberly) Ryan, Bobby (Christy) Ryan, Benny (Mildred) Ryan, and Aaron (Jeanette) Lesuar; mother-in-law: Vernell Curry; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Doris Gloster, Jacqueline Curry, Leroy (Sherry) Clarkson, Alvin (Karen) Clarkson, Alfred Clarkson, Willie Clarkson, Johnny Johnson, Imani (Vonda) Akbar, Barbara (Leonard) Early, Nita Towns; god children: Frederick Brown, Tomika Evans, Lyndon (Shanterria) Williams, Emily Calhoun, Kenny Foster, Shante Evans; special friends: Fred Williams, dedicated driver to dialysis: Calvin Brown, Patricia Calhoun; aunts and uncles: Henrietta Cooks, Barber Brewer, Janice (Anthony) Gordon, Marily Houston, Ann Johnson, Annie (Noah) Richardson, Joseph (Carolyn) Johnson, and Roosevelt (Sarah) Johnson; and a host of nicces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mr. Ryan entered the sunset of life on March 8, 2019. Home Going Service will be held on Sunday at 3:00 P.M from the sanctuary of Southside Baptist Church. Interment will follow immediately after service at the Charles Knight Cemetery. Final rites were entrusted to Harrington Funeral Home.
