Vandelan "Van"'s Story
Vandelan Van Delano Wilson 62 of Lakeland passed away Friday, August 25, 2017 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born on September 7, 1954 in Adel, GA to the late Jimmie Wilson and Mary Valerie (Stembridge) Wilson Spradley. He served in the United States Army. He worked as an auto body repairman with Union Body Shop for many years. He enjoyed guns, knives and woodworking. He was holiness by faith. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Cheri Ann Earp.
Survivors Include: Wife of 23 years, Irma Jean Wilson, Lakeland; Daughter, Vanessa Williams, Arizona; Step Daughter, Jennifer Faye Wood, Lakeland; 1 Grandson; Brother, Jerry & Gail Wilson, Nashville; Half Brother, Timothy Vernando & Edie Spradley, Macon, Half Brother, Lee Van Wilson, Akin, SC and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 27, 2017 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial following at Fender Cemetery.
