Warren Bascom Coody, Jr., 54, of Valdosta died Monday, August 6, 2018 at his home. He was born in Valdosta on October 2, 1963 to the late Warren Bascom Coody, Sr. and the late Margaret Ann Douglas Coody. Warren was a member of the Church of God and a heavy equipment operator with Ken Corbett Farms. He loved hunting and digging with his heavy equipment. Warren was a collector of old record albums and knives.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce V. Coody of Valdosta; his daughter and son in law, Kristy and Wayne Lowery of South Carolina, two stepsons and stepdaughter in law, Shannon and Jessica Carver, James Carver all of Valdosta; six grandchildren, Jaylynn Lowery, Cameron Brown, Gabriel Smith, Cameron Carver, Grayson Carver, Gage Jernigan; two sisters and brothers in law, Brenda and Nouman Chaudhry of Valdosta, Sherry and Leba Hilliard of Adel; special niece, Regina Barrentine of Valdosta, special nephew, Adam King of Valdosta; his father in law, Jimmy King, Sr. of Statenville; two brothers in law, Jimmy King of Valdosta and Frankie King of South Carolina; two sisters in law, Nancy Wyers of Texas and Cheryl Barrett of Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wesley Barrentine and his stepfather, Gene Crosby.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Saturday, August 11, 2018 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Katherine Swift officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
