Wilma Aliene Taylor

February 01, 1926 - July 08, 2018

Wilma Aliene Taylor, affectionately known as Granny Taylor met her savior face to face on Sunday, July 8, 2018. She was a faithful servant to God for over sixty years, always putting the needs of others ahead of her own. Wilma was born on February 1, 1926 to the late Elias Rowan Williams and Lillie Mae Mathis Williams. She married the love of her life on October 18, 1945. Many would agree that her claim to fame was her cooking ability. Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker and a member of Azalea City Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband of forty nine years, Charles L. Taylor, daughter in law, Patsy Taylor, two granddaughters, Cassandra Faith Taylor and Amy Taylor Dorsey. She leaves behind two sons, Merle Taylor and Ronny Taylor and his wife Eva who Granny Taylor referred to as her buddy. She also leaves four grandsons, Daniel, David, Dennis and Darryl Taylor, one granddaughter, Missy Taylor Harris and three great grandchildren. Abigail, Joanna and Levi and one sister, Faye Paulk.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 12, 2018 at three p. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Carlton Allen, Reverend Brett Jarrell and Reverend Ronny Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from two until three p. m. Thursday at the funeral home.
