Angela's Story

Angela Love Adkins, 65, of Valdosta passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia, from pneumonia.
Angela was born Tuesday, January 1, 1952, in Valdosta, Georgia, to Paul Talbot Love, Jr. and Margaret McCall Love. Angela graduated from Lowndes High School in 1970. Angela was a hard worker and often held two jobs to financially provide for her family. Prior to retirement, she worked for Crakin' Good Bakery in Valdosta. Angela stressed the importance of education to her children; both of her sons graduated from college, and her oldest son graduated from law school. Angela loved children and animals. Despite several medical disabilities, Angela never complained or quit. Angela was a Christian. Her parents preceded Angela in death.
Survivors include her children and their spouses: Stephen G. Adkins and Katherine A. Gonos, Darren W. Adkins and Amy S. Adkins, and Sherra M. Grant; her grandchildren: Monica Grant Chitty, Matthew Bryce Grant, Madison Gayle Willis, Dawn Marie Willis, Connor Jacob Adkins, and Eleanor Jane Adkins; her brothers: Paul T. Love, III and Winsel T. Love; and her uncle Amos McCall.
A memorial service in memory of Angela will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2017, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, at 2102 White Oak Drive, Valdosta, Georgia. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a favorite charity in Angela's memory.
