Charles's Story

Charles Albert Luck, age 72, of Kennesaw, GA, formerly of Henderson, KY, passed away at 2:05 AM, Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Tranquility Hospice in Marietta, GA.
Charles was born in Pasadena, CA and moved to Onton, KY. He moved to Henderson when he was 11 and in 1962 graduated from Henderson County High School. He was a math whiz in high school and that carried through his entire life. Growing up he loved hunting. He was very proud of the 50 years he spent working with the Bellsouth Companies. One of Charles' other passions were his children and grandchildren. He always tried to make it to all their important events. Charles set a goal to climb Stone Mountain with all his children and grandchildren, which was completed over time in October of 2016. Charles loved to travel. Together with Brenda they visited Hawaii, Canada, the Grand Canyon and Italy.
Charles was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ida and Charles Shirley, paternal grandparents, Lola and Lurton Luck, his father, Ralph Luck, a sister, Sarah Hurt and a brother Don Luck.

Relatives and friends are invited to Charles' Life Celebration from 4:00-8:00 PM Wednesday April 12, 2017 and again on Thursday starting at 9:00AM at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the funeral home with Reverend Cindy Green officiating. Burial will follow at Onton Cemetery in Onton, KY.
