Dena Kay Brimmage, 47, of Hahira passed away suddenly at her residence on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. She was born on February 13, 1970 in Tallahassee, Florida to Mel Ricks and the late Anita Alamia Ricks. Dena was a truck driver for M & M trucking and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
She is survived by the father of her sons, Gene Brimmage of Hahira, two sons, Tommy Brimmage of Hahira, Justin (Katy) Brimmage of San Antonio, TX.; father and step-mother, Mel and June Ricks of Valdosta; sister, Patricia Myers of Valdosta; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Clay (Christine) Ward of Virginia Beach, VA, Rea (Carol) Ricks of Bradenton, FL; best friend, Marie Suggs of Dasher, special friend Thomas Kersey of Hahira and several nieces and nephews and her Great Dane fur baby, Waylon.
A gathering of friends will be held from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at McLane Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Park.
