Evester "Eva"'s Story
Evester "Eva" Postell Williams, 97, peacefully departed this earthly life in the presence of loving family at her home on Sunday, September 24.
Eva was born on December 6, 1919, to the late Maxwell and Clara Postell. She was the fifth of nine children born to this union and was their last surviving child. Eva worked for 29 years in Valdosta at the medical facility now known as the South Georgia Medical Facility. And she was a dedicated member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, where the Reverend Dr. William C. Morgan serves as pastor.
Eva, an avid angler and true sportswoman at heart, is survived one doting daughter, Willie, who was her only child, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, located at 1051 Howell Road in Valdosta, on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 3 p.m. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. A public viewing will be held from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A viewing will also take place prior to the service.
