George T. Sutton 80
Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at his home. He was born on February 11, 1937 in Valdosta, GA to the late O.B. & Lucille (Wright) Sutton. He worked as a security guard at the Valdosta State Prison and attended the City of Praise Church in Remerton. George loved dogs and was an avid baseball fan of the Atlanta Braves.
Survivors include his Daughter & Son-in-Law, Pamela & Tim Reaves of Hahira, GA; Son & Daughter-in-Law, Timothy & Sherri Sutton of Atlanta, GA; Sister, Sarah Blanton of Valdosta, GA; Brother & Sister-in-Law, Raymond & Betty Ann Sutton of Valdosta, GA; a number of Grands & Great Grands; Niece, Katrina Nash of Valdosta, GA; Great Niece & loving caregiver, Jessica Smith of Remerton, GA; Great Niece, Nicole Smith of Thomasville, GA; Great Nephew, Trevor Blanton of Quitman, GA; Great-Great Nephew, Kayden Veal; and a number of extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Friendship Cemetery in Hahira, GA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 11:00AM until 12:00PM at the funeral home. A special thanks to the loving and caring staff of Bethany Hospice in Valdosta.
