Henry Wade's Story
Henry Wade DeLoach, 91, of Valdosta died Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Langdale Hospice House. He was born in Glennville, Georgia on March 22, 1926 to the late Rufus L. and Willa Swindell DeLoach. Mr. DeLoach was a member of the Bemiss United Methodist Church, a veteran of the United States Navy having served in World War II and a member of the Moody Masonic Lodge. Mr. DeLoach was a farmer and retired from Civil Service serving as Fire Chief at Moody Air Force. He loved spending time with his family and fishing.
Survivors include his son and daughter in law, David and Ginger DeLoach of Nashville, GA, daughter, Scheryl Ryan of Valdosta, daughter and son in law, Mitsi and David Catoe of Cherryville, NC; daughter in law, Jill DeLoach of Raleigh, NC; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Wendy Ryan, Jessica and Richie Schoffstall, Mason Balazs, Amanda and Tim Miller, Ashley and Andy Smith, Katie and Seth Ray, Crystal Catoe, Brent and Melanie Catoe, Andrew Catoe; 13-great grandchildren; three sisters, Dottie Anderson of Stuart, FL, Mary Frances Colson of Madison, FL, Hilda Hubbard of Perry, GA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Redish DeLoach, a son, Deryl DeLoach, three brothers, Bruce DeLoach, Lloyd DeLoach, Robert DeLoach and a sister, Sybil Fallet.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the Bemiss United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Ellis officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8pm at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
