Mamie Lee Jones Moore, 88, of Nashville died Thursday March 23, 2017 in SGMC Berrien Campus.
She was born March 23, 1929 in Berrien County to the late Fisher Jones and the late Mary Rachel Griffin Jones. She was a homemaker and a former clerk with Berrien Drugs and a member of Community United Methodist Church. She was known for her Christ-like lifestyle and generous support of the church and its ministries. Most Sunday's she would be in church singing in the choir, maybe off key, but singing praises to her Lord. She was a faithful wife, mother and grandmother and loved spending time with them, her friends and church family. She was the widow of Charles Rentz Moore who died in 2004. She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Gayle Griner; granddaughter: Gina Griner; daughter-in-law: Diana Moore; and 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
She is survived by a daughter: Iris (Bruce) Shepard of Nashville; son: Chuck Moore of Nashville; son-in-law: James (Debbie) Griner of Nashville; 4 sisters: Martha Hayes of Nashville, Ina Ruth Hendley of Dadeville, AL, Rachel Jacobs of Ovieda, FL and Margie Snoderly of Jackson; brother: William Jones of Oregon; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday March 26, 2017 at 3 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Bridges officiating. Interment will be Westview Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday one hour before the service.
