She was born in Tampa Florida, started nurses' training in New Orleans, moved to Boulder Colorado to finish school where she met Carl, and moved to Valdosta Georgia in 1990. She practiced nursing for many years but her true calling was to help the plight of animals. In the 70's and 80's she was Executive Director of Boulder Valley Spay Clinic and Queen City and Capital Hill Spay/Neuter clinics in Denver. Her animal welfare efforts were acknowledged in Women's Who's Who in America. A memorial will be held in Valdosta and services will be in Boulder. In lieu of flowers please make donations to your local Human Societies.
