Mary Alice Duggan 70
Of Lakeland passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017 in SGMC Lanier Campus. She was born September 14, 1946 in Lanier County to the late James Perry & Lucille Frazier Duggan. Mary worked in the nursing field since the age of 18. She became the first female EMT in the State of Georgia after graduating in the 2nd EMT class, her certification number was number 46. Mary worked at Louis Smith Memorial Hospital for over 40 years as a nurse. She was a member of the Valdosta Seventh Day Adventist. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, James Arlie Duggan, and a Nephew, Marion Bennett, Jr.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 12, 2017 at 3:00P.M. in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Cat Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening (Thursday, May 11, 2017) from 6:00 until 8:00P.M. at the funeral home.
