Mary Lou's Story
Mrs. Mary Lou "Betty" Goff Call, 81, of Sparks, Georgia passed away Tuesday June 6, 2017 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton. She was born on December 5, 1935 in Berrien County to the late Henry Hilton Goff and Tommie Bennett Goff. She lived in Americus for 30 years before returning to Cook County ten years ago. Mrs. Call was a retired homemaker and and a member of Heritage Church in Montezuma, Georgia but attended Lenox Christian Fellowship Church since moving back to Cook County.
Mrs. Call is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law: Mary Ann and Jimmy L. "Joe" Miley of Sparks, Georgia, Waneta and Don Wilson of Americus, Georgia, and Kathy and David Green or Forsyth, Georgia; a daughter-in-law, Sharlene Call of Americus; thirteen grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; four sisters: Louise Williams of Lenox, Georgia, Marie Hogan of Tifton, Reba Bennett of Lenox and Patricia Eason of Nashville, Georgia; and a sister-in-law, Betty Jean Goff of Lenox. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Henry Call, Sr.; her son, Carroll Henry "Buddy" Call, Jr.; a brother, Herbert Goff; and a sister, Virginia Lokey.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening June 8, 2017 from 6 until 8 PM at Boone Funeral Home South, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave., in Adel. The funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Friday June 9, 2017 at 3:30 PM with Re. Don Williams and Rev. Mike Bennett officiating.
