Patricia's Story

Mrs. Patricia Cannon Hermann, age 93, of Fern Brook Drive Blairsville passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 4, 2017 in the Union County Nursing Home following an extended illness.
Mrs. Hermann was born on Sept. 26, 1924 in Plant City, FL., the daughter of the late Barney Cannon and the late Myrtle Harper Cannon. Patricia loved cooking, card games with her church group, traveling, painting and especially reading. She was a loving mother and sister. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.P. "Bill" Hermann and a sister, Fritzi Johnson. Patricia was a member of the Mountain Presbyterian Church.
Surviving Mrs. Hermann are two sons and daughters in law, Bill and Kornelia Hermann of Blairsville, Matt and Connie Hermann of Knoxville, TN., two brothers and one sister in law, Hank and Renate Cannon and Nick Cannon, many of her dearest friends, a host of her church family, nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.
A visitation will be held on Saturday October 7, 2017 at the Mountain View Funeral Home from 6-8:00 pm. Entombment will follow on Monday Oct. 9, 2017 at 10:00 am from the River View Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Valdosta, GA. where she will rest next to her beloved husband Bill. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday Oct. 10, 2017 at 2:00 pm from the Mountain Presbyterian Church in Blairsville with the Rev. Travis Adams officiating.
Flowers are accepted or if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Mountain Presbyterian Church in memory of Mrs. Hermann.
