JAMESTOWN, NC — Mrs. Renée Devin Blackwelder, 37, of Jamestown, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 27. She was born January 3, 1980 at Pease Air Force Base in Portsmouth New Hampshire to Ronald B. Roux and the late Janis L. Roux. In addition to her father of Valdosta, GA, Renée left behind to cherish her memory her loving husband, Paul Lee Blackwelder and her precious daughter, Samantha Abigail Blackwelder. Other survivors include a sister, Karen Roux; a brother, Micheal Roux both of Valdosta, GA; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Sheila Blackwelder of Kannapolis; a special sister-in-law, Shannon (Eddie) Matthews of Roseboro, several special nieces and nephewsl aunts and uncles around the country; and her best friend, Robyn Roux of Fort Worth, TX. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, at Dillon Road Baptist Church in Jamestown, where she enjoyed attending worship with her family. Aside from being an United States Air Force Veteran and graduate of Lowndes High School, Renée was a beautiful, kind-hearted, and selfless person who showed much love and compassion to others. She will be missed by all who knew her.
