Alice Elizabeth Carter, 82, of Lowndes County, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at SGMC Lakeland Villa. She was born on May 17, 1942, in Valdosta to the late Sydney Landon Carter and Ruby Daugharty Carter. Ms. Carter had worked at Valdosta State University in the financial aid department and was a member at Unity Primitive Baptist Church.
Ms. Carter is survived by her son Robert Rambo (Melissa) of Robbinston, ME; grandson, Scott Rambo of Dallas, TX; granddaughter, Erin Rambo, of Ft. Smith, AR; nieces, Beverly Brown (Rod), of Waleska, GA, Sheila Grubb (Chris), of Coeur d'Alene, ID, and Teresa Bobbitt (Bobby), of Kennesaw, GA; and nephew Sid Howell (Sandra), of Acworth, GA. She is also survived by several cousins, aunts, ten great nephews and nieces and eight great great-nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sherolyn Carter Howell Ellenberg.
