Alphonso Rosevelt Hall Obituary

Valdosta, Georgia - Alphonso Rosevelt Hall completed his journey of life on December 3rd, 2021. Born July 30th, 1928, in Valdosta, Ga, Alphonso dedicated much of his life to the service of others.

After completing school, Alphonso joined the United States Air Force serving 26 years before retiring as a Master Sergeant and reestablishing his home in Valdosta. Accompanied by his wife, Bessie Mae Hall (Cushion), Alphonso traveled the world. During his service, Alphonso received a Bronze Star Medal for his efforts during the Vietnam War and the Meritorious Service Medal for Outstanding Service. Though his highest honor was achieved through being the father of Ingrid Yvonn Hall, Sheree Hall Wells (Larry Wells), and Aaron Hulian Hall.

A constant advocate for education, Alphonso received his Master's degree from Valdosta State University before servings as an educator at Valdosta Middle School until retirement. Alphonso continued pursuing his passions by opening Hall's Auto Repair, serving as Chairman of the Deacon Board at Irvin Hill Baptist Church, and through his hobby of photography.

Alphonso's passion for education and public service lives on through his children, grandchildren-Christopher Ian Wells, Anais Jasmine Hall-Garrison, Adrian Brantley Wells, Tasha Pari Hall-Garrison & Aliyah Quenisha Hall, and great-grandchildren- Harmony Pari Driver, Adrianna Denise Wells & Alphonso Rosevelt Hall II, and within all whom have been fortunate to have met or known him during his 93 years of life.

A private graveside service will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Dr. William C. Morgan, officiating.
