Valdosta, Georgia - Bart Lamar Johnston Jr.- 59 of Valdosta, Georgia passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2025.

He loved the simple joys in life were fishing, spending time by the river, and taking long rides in his truck. He was one of the most humble and kindhearted souls you could ever meet, always willing to lend a hand or go out of his way for others.

His greatest joy came from being a granddaddy. He adored his grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was cheering them on or just being present. He truly was an amazing grandfather, loving, patient, and full of wisdom. Not many people knew just how deeply spiritual he was.

Though quiet about his faith, he prayed often and carried a strong belief that God was always watching over him. He was deeply loved by so many, and his memory will live on in the countless lives he touched with his kindness, humility, and unwavering love.

Bart is preceded in death by his first wife, Kathy Johnston; second wife, Terri Johnston; son, Hunter Johnston; mother, Diane Johnston; and brother, Randy Johnston.

Survivors include his daughter, Tiffany Johnston (Kenneth); son, Conner Johnston; grandchildren: Bella Carroll, Trinity Bennett, and Kenny Smotherman Jr.; father, Bart Johnston Sr. (Ellen); sister, Sharee Tomlinson (Jeff); sister, Dr. Wendy Bamford (Brad); nieces and nephews: Josh Tucker, Emilee Bamford, Bennington Bamford, and Amber Pipkin; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

As per his wishes he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday April 26, 2025, at the residence of Tiffany Johnston, 3390 Boring Pond Road Valdosta, Georgia 31606.
