Of St. Mary's, Georgia formerly from Valdosta, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Magnolia Manor in St. Mary's Georgia. She was born to the late James and Viola Ezell on April 25, 1938, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Betty was a devoted military spouse through and through. She cherished her country, had a deep love for fishing, and was a marvelous dancer—especially when sharing the floor with her husband. Raised in the heart of the Midwest, Betty found joy in simple pleasures like camping under the stars and collecting dolls, each one a small treasure reflecting her warmth and whimsy. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Guenther and brother, James Ezell Jr.

Survivors include sons: Curt Guenther (Elizabeth) of Hoover, Alabama and Jerry Guenther (Mary) of Woodbine, Georgia; grandchildren: Adrianne Philpott of Newnan, Georgia, Mitchell Guenther (Cate) of Klamath Falls, Oregon, John Thomas Newsome (Peyton) of Clanton, Alabama, Sarah Jane Hutchinson of Hoover, Alabama, and Jennifer Owens (Carl) of St. Louis, Missouri; great grandchildren; Brody Philpott of Newnan, Georgia, Macie May Philpott of Newnan, Georgia, Madison Newsome of Clanton, Alabama, Makenzie of Clanton, Alabama, Carson Owens of St. Louis, Missouri, Emme Guenther of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Ewan Guenther of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Davina Rose Hutchinson of Hoover, Alabama, and Phillip Duanne Hutchinson of Hoover, Alabama; brother, Chuck Ezell (Ruthie) of Micco, Florida

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Magnolia Manor in St. Mary's, Georgia.
