Valdosta, GA - Bobby Eston Exum, 82, of Valdosta passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Fellowship Home. Bobby was born on June 15, 1943 to the late Virgil and Beulah Exum. Bobby graduated from Hahira High School in 1961. He was a lifetime farmer. Bobby served on various farm committees and for many years as a Director for Colquitt EMC. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Sammye Exum, his parents and brother John Exum. Bobby was blessed with a large extended family. He was a faithful servant of our Lord and attended Primitive Baptist Churches. His friendship and stories will be missed by many.

He is survived by children Glenn Burgess (Paula), Dan Burgess (Angie), and Dee Burgess; grandchildren Chris Burgess (Alesia), Jennifer Rush (Brian), Lauren Burgess (Laura), Danny Burgess and Aurelia Reed, 11 great grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law Sallie Exum. He is also survived by a large and loving extended family.

Services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home in Valdosta. Elder Tony Marshall will officiate. Graveside service will follow at Cat Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers the family asks you consider monetary donations to Fellowship Home, Hospice of South Georgia, or Cat Creek Cemetery Fund.
