Lakeland, GA - Catherine Mary Fisher, 75, of Lakeland, Georgia, died on Monday, December 29, 2025, at South Georgia Medical Center.
She was born in Quincy, Massachusetts, on January 16, 1950, to the late James Edward Healy and Sylvia Chandler Healy. She graduated from Quincy High School in 1969 and a year later enlisted in the United States Air Force. She married Phillip R. Fisher in Trivoli, Illinois, on April 10, 1971, and had one son, Scott A. Fisher. Catherine worked as a sales associate and stocker for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service for over 24 years.
In addition to her husband and son, she is also survived by her sister, Barbara Healy Hooper of Quincy Massachusetts, and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Edward and Brenda Healy of Liberty, Indiana, and Albert J. Healy of Duluth, Minnesota; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Eve and Brad White of Horton, Alabama and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by a daughter-in-law, Denise Fisher and a brother-in-law, Arthur Hooper.
The family of Catherine Mary Fisher will receive friends on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home. A private committal will take place at a later date at the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Colon Cancer Alliance.org.
