Of Valdosta, GA passed peacefully on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at his home. He was born on October 30, 1969 in Valdosta, GA to the late Thomas R. and Marguerite (Howell) Hughes. He was the owner and operator of Hughes and Son Plumbing for 26 years. He had a love for being outdoors where he enjoyed being on the Suwannee River and scalloping at Keaton Beach. Although he had many joys, being a Papa was his favorite. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Lynn Hughes and Fur Baby, Bengi.

Survivors include his Daughter, Amanda Hughes of Valdosta, GA; Son, Chase Hughes and Leila Starling of Valdosta, GA; Mother of his children, Lacricia Jones of Valdosta, GA; Grandchildren, Whitt Gibbs and Remi Rae Hughes; Brother, Dale and Joyce Hughes of Hahira, GA; Sister, Lisa Hughes of Valdosta, GA; Special Friend, Dakota Starling of Valdosta, GA; Fur Baby, Carter and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home. Messages of sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com.
