Colonel William Edward Rupright (USAF, Ret.), died on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born on August 18, 1944, in Dayton, Ohio to the late Alfred James and Mary Jane Karns Rupright. Col Rupright served in the United States Air Force where he was a fighter pilot, navigator, and Maintenance Commander. He was especially proud of his duty with the 612th fighter squadron in Spain. Col Rupright was a member of MOAA, the Stone Creek Golf Club and Temple Israel.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Grossman Rupright of Valdosta; his son, Hank Rupright of Clearwater, Florida; a daughter and son-in-law, Danielle and Shawn West of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; two granddaughters, Isabella Kate West and Sadie Jane West, and a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Jane Rupright.

A graveside service for Colonel William Edward Rupright will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at the Sunset Hill Cemetery with Rabbi Moshe Elbaz officiating. The family request no flowers but to make contributions to Temple Israel.
