Cecil, Georgia - Mrs. Frances Crowley, 90, of Cecil, Georgia, passed away on August 14, 2025 at the Southwell Health and rehabilitation Center in Adel, Georgia. She was born on September 6, 1934 in Lenox, Georgia to the late William Joel Wise and the late Katie Bell Wingate Wise. Mrs. Crowley lived all of her life in Cook County and was retired from Smith Hospital in Hahira, Georgia after 34 years of service. After retirement she worked with her son-in-law for ten years with the Independent Retirement Professionals of Adel. Mrs. Crowley was a member of the Cecil Baptist Church.
Mrs. Crowley is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Danny Young of Adel; two grandchildren, Nikki and Matt Thomas of Hahira, Nicholas and Lindsey Young of Adel; six great grandchildren: Emma, Ellee, Bella Kate and Iva Claire Thomas, all of Hahira, Lily and Nolan Young of Adel; her "Special Niece", Sherry and Jim Griffith of Warner Robins, Georgia and her "Special Nephew", Joey and Myrna Wise of Nashville, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Lee "Bobby" Crowley; her daughter, Kimberlyn Ann "Kim" Tucker; her granddaughter, Melissa Ann "Missy" Moore; her brother, Billy Wise; and one sister, Latrelle Grantham.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at the Cecil Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Hendley officiating and a eulogy given by Danny Young. A private interment will follow at the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will take place at Cecil Baptist Church from 3:00 to 4:00 PM immediately prior to the funeral service. Special selections will include Jimmy Griffith singing "The Anchor Holds"; Kevin Giles singing "It Is Well With My Soul" and Steve Meders singing "Precious Memories". Charlotte Dickerson will be the pianist. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Jimmy Griffith, Bob Griffith, Joey Wise, David Bryan, Daniel Morris and Ricky Bennett.
