Fred Washington, Jr. was born May 10, 1948 to the late Luella Mae Thomas and Fred Washington, Sr. in Valdosta, GA.
Fred was a graduate of Pinevale High School and served in the United States Army. He worked as a cook at various restaurants with I-Hop Restaurant being his last job.
Later in life, Fred met and married Hazel Shiver.
Fred departed this life on Monday, November 13, 2017 at his residence.
Fred leaves to cherish his memories his wife: Mrs. Hazel Shiver Washington of Valdosta, GA; a loving and devoted aunt: Mrs. Elizabeth Washington Sharp of Valdosta, GA; two daughters: Robin Washington (Anthony) of Campti, LA and Rachel Randolph (Galveze) of Shreveport, LA; two stepchildren: Dr. Tiffanie Shiver Warren-Williams (Kendrix) and Dameion Shiver both of Valdosta, GA; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister: Gayland George of Norfolk, VA; Also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Hosanna Baptist Church in Lake Park. Pastor Felicia Williams, officiating.
