Lakeland, Georgia - John Evans Patten, 94, of Lakeland, Georgia, entered his heavenly home on August 19, 2025. He was born on June 11, 1931, in Lakeland (Lanier County) to John Drawdy (JD) and Alene Mae O'Quinn Patten.

John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nanette Lee Davis Patten; his parents, JD and Alene Patten; and his siblings, Donald and Hilda. He is survived by his children, Terry Moore, Pat Patten, Donna Fenchel, and Laurie Sheehan; his sister, Nanette Patten Davis; as well as many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A man of deep faith, John will be remembered for his love for Jesus and his commitment to ministry, his devotion and pride in his family, and his joy in a good round of golf. His legacy is one of love, faith, and steadfast character, leaving an enduring impact on all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at TruthPoint in Lakeland, Georgia with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Lakeland, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Music Funeral Services, Lakeland, Georgia.
