Mrs. Joyce Kelly, age 89, of Adel, Georgia passed away March 5, 2023 at Southwell Health and Rehabilitation Center in Adel. She was born January 8, 1934 in Berrien County to the late Marvin Pat Fendley and Lonice Clements Fendley. Mrs. Kelly lived most of her life in Tift and Cook Counties with a few years spent in Houston, Texas. She was the owner and operator of McAfee Daycare in Channelview, Texas. She was a member of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary and the Red Hats and she was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Kelly is survived by two sons, James Marvin Fulghum of Adel and Mike Fulghum of Hahira, Georgia; one step-son, Roy Fulghum of Ft. Valley, Georgia and one step-daughter, Patricia Stacey of Valdosta, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her step-son, Jesse Fulghum.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home with Rev. John Hendley officiating. Visitation will take place at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In keeping with Mrs. Kelly's wishes she was cremated.
