Thomasville, Ga - Kara Michelle Sneed, born March 14, 1965, to Kenneth and the late Cora Sneed, began her spiritual journey on July 18, 2026.

She joined Aucilla Missionary Baptist Church early in life, singing in the junior choir and serving on the Mayetta Ivey Missionary Society. Educated in Thomasville City Public Schools, she cultivated a love for reading and photography, later earning an Associate's Degree in Marketing from Thomas University.

Kara found her calling in healthcare, dedicating over 27 years to HCA as a phlebotomist and Phlebotomy Supervisor. Known as "Sunshine" for her warm smile and kindness, she received the HCA Quality Award for exceptional customer service.

She leaves cherished memories with her daughter, Myetta Iris Michella McLendon; father, Kenneth Sneed, Sr.; sisters, Anges F. Gibbs (James) and Dr. Roslyn L. Wells (David); and brothers, James R. Nixon and Kenneth Sneed, Jr. Her legacy continues through nieces and nephews: Cotrell Wilson, Grier Wilson (Michelle), Quincy David Wells, Ivory Otisi, and Leah W. Carlton (Steve); and great-nieces and great-nephews: Jasmin H., Sheldon B., Cierra B., and Grier Wilson Jr.; Quincy D. and Jonathan C. Wells; and Liam Carlton.

The family thanks her daughter Myetta for devoted caregiving, and the staff of DaVita Georgia, Hypertension Clinic, and Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services were held July 26, 2026.
