Hahira, GA - Laurie Gulliksen, age 64, of Hahira, Georgia, peacefully went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on November 12, 1960, in Sumter, South Carolina to the late William B. and Barbara A. (Adams) McQueen. She deeply loved her work family at the Herndon Company, her church family at Open Door Fellowship, and many loving friends. She never met a stranger and was a true prayer warrior for others. No matter what, she always found time to share her testimony—how God carried her through her battle with cancer—with anyone who needed encouragement.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Ann McQueen.

Survivors include her loving husband of 46 years, John Gulliksen of Hahira, Georgia; daughter, Lauren Brady (Kenny) of Winter Springs, Florida; daughter, Kelsey Mathis (Jeremy) of Thomasville, Georgia; her beloved grandson, Colton Thomas Brady; sister, Susan Heatley (Henry) of Cross, South Carolina; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, September 19, 2025, in the Valdosta chapel of Music Funeral Services. Family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the SGMC Pearlman Cancer Center in memory of Mrs. Gulliksen.
