A Time to be Born: Louis Moss Gordon, Jr., 58, was born in Miami, Florida to Louis Gordon and Carolyn Carter Gordon on July 24, 1961. He was raised by his loving grandmother, Ms. Rosa Mae Powell.
A Time to Plant: He attended Valdosta City School System and enlisted in the Unites States Army and served in Kansas, Germany, and Georgia. He honorably discharged in 1986.
A Time to Build Up: After working in different local businesses, he found his love for Commercial Truck Driving. His CB name was "King of Heart", where he worked companies, then owning his own business.
A Time to Love: He was untied in holy matrimony to Kimberly Felton Gordon for 36 years and 4 days! To this union, three children was born; Louis Gordon III, Yalanda Gordon, and Ray Felton Gordon. They were blessed with a second daughter, Yakira Thomas.
A Time to Lose: Louis was preceded in death by his Parents, Louis Sr. and Carolyn Gordon; his paternal Grandmother, Rosa Mae Powell; Fathers-in-law, Ray Felton, and Georgia Reid; Siblings, Maxine Love, Dorothy Moffett Collins, Sonny Carter, Bernard Gordon, Lisa Maple; Siblings-in-law, Sandra Houston, Toller Reynae Henderson.
A Time to Gather Stones Together: Louis is survived by his "dutiful" loving Wife, Kimberly Gordon; his Children, Louis Gordon III, Yalanda Gordon, Ray Gordon, and Yakira Thomas; Grandchildren, Ameria and Ayden Tillman, and Greyson Younger; Mother-in-law, Cora Felton Reid; siblings, Cynthia Davis, Tom Collins, Teresa Gordon, Daryl Maple (Zet), Pastor Cathy Hall-Brown (Pastor Bobby); In-laws, Clara Norwood (Eric), Ray Houston, Jennifer McCoy (Calvin), Cynthia Wheeler (Leonard), Earl Felton, Loran Johnson, Bridgett Smith (Kenneth Sr.), Montinez Henderson, Larita Lynn Williams (Will); Louis was blessed with a host of people who loved him in his life. His God Mother, Betty Jones; Life Brothers, Edgar, Reginald, Victor, and Ronnie Tooley, David Mabrey, and Tommy Gunter; his "Breakfast Club Brothers"; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and co-workers.
A Time to Rest: Louis Moss Gordon, Jr., was called from labor to rest on March 28, 2020 at approximately 11:01 A.M.
Graveside Service will be held Saturday at 11:01 A.M. at Southview Cemetery. Public Viewing, Friday from 1-7 P.M. Final rites were entrusted to Harrington Funeral Home.
